Your post would be correct a few years ago, and that’s certainly how it’s always played out before. This time will likely be different. The economic reality is not the same anymore. St. Louis doesn’t have any more taxpayer money to throw at the Rams, and the guy is a developer and owns the land for a new stadium. The NFL might even be a partner in the new venue. This is much more likely to happen than any time since the Rams and Raiders left.
Maybe StL could take the Browns? Call them The St. Louis Mike Browns?
I always wondered why they had them in the same division as Seattle, SF, and Arizona. Perhaps the NFL knew something when they made these divisions in 2002. The Rams move to St. Louis in 1994.
