To the British media anyone in the US who owns a firearm and asserts their civil rights in the face of blithe authoritarianism *must* be some sort of barbarian.

Given that such barbarians ejected the Brits from this country I can understand why some of them are sore losers even 200+ years later.

A few years back, an entire street over there was shut down, over an unspent .22 round, found in the gutter. Complete investigation, potential witness requests, security cam video review, the whole bit. The “man on the street” interviews were even worse, some Mum was terrified, “What if the bullet ‘went off’?” type of BS.

Thinking that this was absurd, I looked at another UK news source, for some perspective. LOL, it made the first story look downright reasonable!
