I observed over 100 varieties of potatoes grow in Peru, so it is very odd that Venezuela apparently has none! /s

Venezuela is vastly different than Peru!

Most of Peru is fairly arid desert, like eastern Oregon, and Idaho. Venezuela is mountainous tropical forest.
