They are Muslims.
They are terrorists.
Therefore, they are Muslim terrorists.
If Muslims want to make the case that not all Muslims are terrorists, they’re welcome to do so. (Or, for that matter, terrorists can try to make the case that not all terrorists are Muslim.) But these particular terrorists are Muslims, and it is wrong to say otherwise.
They are Muslims, period, they are doing what their book tells them to do.
