How many divisions will Harper mobilize to confront the Jihadists?
How many Canucks will be put in jail for talking ill of Islam?
I will take the over on the latter.
Canada hasn't needed too many divisions. We haven't been invaded for over 200 years and the neighbors to the south seem friendly enough, so there isn't much need for a standing army.
You can check the butcher's bill for that recent Afghan adventure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coalition_casualties_in_Afghanistan). Even though a NATO ally was attacked on 9/11, it seems that some countries contributed far more than others.
As for today, don't expect anyone else other than the US to lead this charge. That said, units of the RCAF and JTF-2 from Canada are operating in Iraq against ISIS. Given the fact that the lead country in this fight, the USA, is led by a moslem or at least a moslem sympathizer, I doubt that this phony war will go anywhere.
On the diplomatic front, Canada booted Iranian diplomats out of the country a while ago and closed our embassy in Teheran. Canada remains a strong ally of Israel. Meanwhile your president has been groveling to the mullahs for over 6 years. How do you expect other countries to react while Obama gives comfort to the enemies of freedom?

One is too many.
