She should be hanged.
People in authority who have public trust should be held to a higher standard and with significant punishments.
Nothing like death for a public official and even their family to make things dramatically more honest.
It would probably be hard to get hanging or even keelhauling through...but there sure needs to be serious punishment for misuse of office.
