There was a post the other day - where some reporter was catching up with G.W. Bush. He brought up why did Bush just go to Camp David for Christmas all eight years.
“For the families.”
“You could have taken whoever you wanted on vacation.”
“No - I meant for the families of all the people that work for me. Secret Service, staff, even you reporters. That way they could stay in town for Christmas”.
I imagine that number is in the several hundreds. I think it said where Bush left town on the 26th for their vacations.
