All one million had a single New Years Resolution — be a better citizen and person. And they all stuck to it for a full week. Color me amazed! What a wonderful start to the new year...no petty crime.

I hope to visit once more before the spring sets in, but while it is still cold enough to get good hotel rates. I figure that the weather should still have the senses of the criminals rather dull, and I may be able to get through the couple of days there without incident.
Saw more homeless and passed out drunks in Dec. than I have the previous two or three visits. They are allowed to stack their blankets up in the stairwells of the subways now apparently. Big piles - in mid-town Manhattan. Usually it just smells of pee.
