Oh, and something else, very important!
When you get set up with your new system, set up multiple Id’s to access your computer (Pro tip from Computer guys)
Your “Owner” ID, also known as “Administrator” should be password protected with a strong password. You should not go online logged in as an Administrator!
Next, created secondary ID’s such as “guest” or “Internet”.
Very important>set controls on these secondary Id’s, especially blocking/downloading of ANY PROGRAMS.
The only pain is that if you are on line with your secondary access and want to download some security software, add/change/delete programs, etc., you have to enter your administrator password!
If you are online as an administrator, stuff can sneak in and burrow into your hard drive.
Hoping the above makes sense
I don’t know about fish but you are alreay waaaay over my head....just sayin’,LOL.
Thanks for that - great advice!
It does make sense and I will do exactly as you said.
BTW, I do Windows updates though it annoys me.
Guys, I just don’t need all this stuff.
I get it about the administrator. Again, why oh why is it all so complicated?
And NO XP! That Operating System is no longer supported, one reason being because of the malware out there that can NOT be countered by patching on the XP kernel.
What a pain in the A!! Why folks bother with PC’s is truly beyond me!
