Even so-called Conservatives preface their criticism of Islamic terrorists by saying “Most Muslims are good people but...”. I find this cowardice disgusting.

I will allow that “some” are not violent. I might even allow that a narrow majority may not be. But salafism is at least a significant and growing minority. It is manifestly and resolutely dedicated to jihad and subjugation or extermination of all competing viewpoints, including those under the broader umbrella of Islam.

To claim that salafism is not Islamic is unforgivably dishonest or just delusional. I’m not sure which one Obama is but I lean toward the former.

Well, most Muslims probably are good people, whether you like it or not. There are about 1.5 BILLION of them in the world. Even if 100 million of them are hardcore Al Qaeda types (an absurdly high estimate) that still leaves 1.4 billion (or about 93+%) who aren't.

Thus, rather than exhibiting cowardice, the statement is probably accurate enough. To argue that over half of the 1.5 billion Muslims in the world are not good people is simply not supported by any evidence I'm aware of.

After all, you run into decent Muslims down at your corner convenience store and gas stations every single day of the week.

If most of these Muslims weren't good people, then we'd be having a Hell of a lot more problems with Islamic Extremism in America than we actually see.

So the statement "most Muslims are good people" is no more controversial than "most people are good people".

It's a rather obvious and straightforward conclusion, supported by ample evidence, and although I'm sure the assertion makes you furious, it doesn't make anybody a coward.

There are a lot of good people, besides Muslims, who hold absurd, backwards beliefs. Hindus, for instance.

If most Muslims weren't good people, the situation here and elsewhere would be much worse. Nay, most people really do want to live in peace, even most Muslims. Percentage-wise, those who which to foment violence and impose Shariah Law appear to be in a distinct minority.

As we have seen, many peaceable Muslims themselves are also frequently victims of these murderous and barbaric animals.
