As he doesn’t hold our positions, he would not support them.

Romney’s handlers were to help him conceal his radical leftism, so radical that he left the GOP because of Reagan, and eventually became a democrat during the HW Bush years.

Romney disagrees with our positions, why do you think he switched back to being pro-abortion after he won the nomination and reissued his support for homosexuality the Scouts and their leaders?

You might believe that Romney will sincerely embrace conservatism, but most of us will not. Romney has always spoken from both sides of his mouth; he is a weather vane. As far Carville is concerned, he is indeed very astute about all things political, democrat or republican, and if he thinks Romney will try to edge out Bush from the right, I'm inclined to think so too. The only thing I do not believe is that Romney is actually a conservative, even if Carville thinks so. I do not think Carville understands classical liberalism (which is what true conservatives are) but he does understand politics better than just about anybody else out there.

Romney stinks, but shockingly he is to the right of the modern day Jeb Bush, and could possibly sell that to a lot of people.

Mitt may eneter the race but he will not be tapped for President—same is true of Jeb Bush—a new man will step forward—maybe its Walker? Maybe its someone else. Who ever it is—they must inspire us the way Reagan did long ago. Who shall be VP is not important—I would hope it would be a conservative. When they are elected, they must hit the ground running! A cabinate pre-made, an agenda ready for the day after the party-—1—22—17. Its not going to be easy—change is hard—dramatic change really hard. The nation must be swept up in the change in the first 100 days.

Just because you say it, Carville, doesn’t make it so.... Romney is no conservative.

If Romney didn’t use consultants, he would not even know what the conservative position was on anything. Romney is a socialist son of two socialists. He has always been a liberal and the only reason he seems conservative to you is that he has been coached on what to say by consultants and you believe the lies he tells.
Romney is more liberal than almost any other “republican” running for president. He is also, by far, the biggest liar. Jeb Bush may be slightly more conservative but he isn’t anywhere near as big a liar. That being said, I hope they both destroy each other and a real conservative is able to win.

No, Romney’s just got you fooled. He might sell being conservative to some low info voters.

No one has me “fooled” Waryone. I don’t want either and won’t vote for either in the primary. But Jeb is worse, sue me.

Run against mitt
Run against Jeb.
Either will take a dive so it doesn't matter. The Democrats are trying to get the conservatives to vote for someone who is not one of the conservative candidates who won't oblige the Democrats by lying down on the mat.

The Left panjandrums already know who the Democrat candidate is. What remains is to manipulate the Republicans.

Given that James Carvile thinks Mao Tse-Tung is a conservative, that isn’t surprising news.
