Papenfuse denounced the new state law as representing "a fringe ideological view."

Yep! Us crazy, Bible thumpers with our damn guns and respect for the US Constitution, are a fringe ideological group.

What a putz, but with a name like papenfuse, why expect any more.

That happened in Kansas too once the right to bear arms was put in the Constitution, all the little municipalities had to get rid of the hopscotch of stupid ordinances that made gun-owners’ lives challenging.

WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh’s spin on this:

“The cities of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are bravely pushing back with a lawsuit trying to get this law overturned”.

Worries expressed about firing guns in city limits can easily be addressed by other existing laws, like reckless endangerment, if in fact reckless endangerment existed.

This recognizes the differences between acting, and acting with disregard or danger, which is not preempted by the state.

A popular such law in the gun friendly West is against “celebratory gunfire”, that is, shooting your gun into the air in celebration. This is based on the simple fact that bullets that go up must come down, and that they can (and have) injured or even killed people when they do so.

Well.. given that the 2nd Amendment was enacted in 1791
and Kansas did not become a state until 1861...

I'd have to say you are pretty much full to brimming with crap.

This has been in the works. Pa Constitution Article 1 section 21:

“The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned. “

Local ordinances has always been enacted, but it is finally being put to a stop.

Libs can’t stand that it is in the State Constitution worded like this.

The PA Demorat AG won’t support the bill because she is a Demorat hack( as well as a possible felon). It passed by such a great majority that it will be hard to overrule it.
