OR got beat by a better team. Urban Meyer is a good coach. That’s not in dispute. The only thing in dispute is whether he’s an A-hole or not.

You are free to think whatever you want to, but I’ve seen Urban Meyer change for the positive over the course of many years. I think he respects the Ducks enough that he felt that another score was needed to secure the victory over your team.

Mariota is a phenomenal player who is smart and can strike FAST. I’ve only watched clips of your season, but feared your team coming into last night’s game. I didn’t think the Buckeyes could do it. Your team was so impressive in the bowl game against FSU.

In my opinion, Meyer showed respect to the Ducks by continuing to play fully. Your team could have stopped the Buckeyes, but didn’t. Sorry it didn’t turn out with your team winning, but Meyer isn’t an A-hole just because you’re sore. He respected Oregon in last night’s game, not the other way around. It was a hard fought contest. Your team was valiant. Take the loss like a winner, not a whiner. Take a lesson from Mariota. He was a class act in his post-game interviews.

I’ll translate your post for everyone:

“Yeah, we know Meyer is an A-hole, but he’s OUR A-hole, got it?

You really are a piece of work. Did you even read my whole post? Meyer was respecting your team. I tried respecting you.

You are hellbent on belly-aching about your team’s loss in a most unbecoming way. That’s too bad.

I read where you said Meyer was respecting OR by feeling they needed to score again.

For the TENTH time, Ohio didn’t have to worry about OR getting the ball on offense again if they had just kneeled down on a couple of plays and ran out the clock. OR was conceding the game at that point by not using their remaining two time outs.

You people are as dense as all get out. I’m done with you.

I read that Urban Meyer had an unreal success win rate when he had more than a week to prepare for a football game. Its the coach’s expertise. I saw this with Gordon Wood in Texas and other coaches at other levels. I believe Urban Meyer could turn Vanderbilt or Rice into a National Champion in a couple of seasons. The Oregon coach at the end knew his butt was whipped and out coached.

If the Ducks had really conceded, then they would have taken a knee when they got the ball back.

Like a novel chess variation that falls prey to error and fashion.....

So the Duck Experiment ends into the dust of bin of history, for the next 100 years.

I was just thinking that it was in 1968 that a sophomore laden Buckeye team won the national championship and then the next year they were undefeated and #1 till they went up to Michigan to face a first year head coach. Could that scenario play out again next year.

I know you didn’t ask me, but I think it could happen like that. Rarely does a number one team stay undefeated the following year.

Would love it. For the first time in years, I’m totally pumped about the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry again.
