There was no reason to score. Once they had the first down at the 2 yard line, the right thing to do was to take a knee and run out the clock. Oregon wasn’t going to stop the clock. But of course a classless coach is not going to do that.

Actually, there was a reason. One touchdown is a coin flip, two is a win which might or might not have happened, if this or that had occurred, and three touchdowns is a thumping.

Oregon got a thumping. Saves a lot of bickering tomorrow around the water cooler.

Are you part of this trophy’s for all crowd?

Are you afraid of the Oregon players getting their feelings hurt?

Do I need to remind you of the scores that Oregon has put up against their weaker opponents?

I really don’t care about either team, but I don’t feel bad that Oregon had the score run up on them. They regularly do it to other teams including beating South Dakota 62 to 13.
