They emphasize the negative minority (i.e., hate crimes), blow it up until the press makes everyone believe it’s a major problem that must be addressed, then get legislation passed that promotes their cause which will later be used against the non-offending majority.
What is the proper amount of guns for America to have? Are we allowed to hunt? I have 3 different guns to be used for different types of hunting. Am I allowed to have a gun in my house for protection? So if there were 75 million Americans that hunted and protected themselves there is your 300 million guns. OK, I admit I have a few more guns than the ones I mentioned and that is why there are only 40 million gun owners. I do think as the World continues to change in the direction it is going that 40 million number will increase.
