Without giving too much away, Sen. Ted Cruz said Tuesday morning that hes giving his own presidential aspirations a close look in advance of 2016.
Its certainly something Im looking at very seriously, and I think were at a time of enormous challenge, Cruz told FOX & Friends. We are starting a national debate this year about the direction of the Republican party and about the direction of the country. I think the challenges facing us theyve never been greater. The Obama economy, its not working. Obamacare is a disaster. Our constitutional rights are under assault from Washington. And as we look abroad, it seems like the entire world is on fire right now.
Cruzs comments come a day after he delivered a well-received speech at the Heritage Foundation that explored both domestic and foreign policy issues. The Texas Republican pushed for a conservative agenda and cautioned against the business as usual politics of D.C. he has cautioned against frequently.
For all the Republicans saying lets get things done, if we simply settle into business as usual in this town we will demoralize the millions of men and women who came out in November, Cruz said.
A bevy of other Republicans have publicly or reportedly talked about their 2016 prospects in recent days, with Sen. Marco Rubio (undecided) and Rep. Paul Ryan (out) commenting, and speculation rising that former Republican nominee Mitt Romney will launch a third consecutive bid. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was the first potential contender to make an obvious move toward running.

“Did you guys see this when Cruz showed off his Winston Churshill tattoo???”
Did he say what that’s about? This has caught my interest, particularly in light of Obama having sent the Churchill bust back. Perhaps it’s significant/inside joke to one of the university ‘clubs’ he may be a member of?
> We have strayed far from the Constitution. We dont have a wayback machine. We cant blink our government back into its Constitutional box. Itll have to be walked back, through unsavory grounds.
Such as ineligible persons?
CRUZ - MARTINEZ 2016
Liberal heads would explode.
* * *
I love Cruz, not that excited about Martinez (I prefer Walker at this point) but THAT ticket would be worth it just to be able to scream “Thassss racisss!” back at all the libs! LOL!
It was indeed a joke. The Churchill tattoo was temporary. It puts me in mind of this now-famous SABO poster. Liked it so much that I got a T-shirt with this on it!
A message for you, from this board’s owner:

“FYI: This website supports tea party constitutionalist Ted Cruz for president to the hilt. Those who join with the libs, RINOS and GOP-e to openly work against us on this will be considered our political foe and will be treated accordingly. FR will not be used to harm his chances. Take your birther trolling elsewhere.”
If you think I’m “libs, RINOS and GOP-e” you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Didn’t say that. Neither did Jim Rob.
What HE did say was that birther troll comments regarding Sen Cruz are to be placed in those same categories.
Surprises me. I looked at your posting history. You’re a prolific poster that normally avoids that particular discussion. The only recent comment on the subject by you I could find was a cryptic correction on Mark Levin’s analysis. Cryptic because you didn’t explain the import of the law change you were suggesting.
More than accusing you of anything, I’m curious why you would suggest that Cruz is ineligible here, at the end of a thread, late at night. Especially when you’ve avoided the topic in the past.
Even more especially since that wasn’t the topic of discussion; you brought it up de novo.
Maybe I misunderstood your intent.
There's only one woman I'd rather see do it.
The problem is that you care more about the principle of the matter than actually saving lives. There are babies alive now that would have died if HB2 had not passed and shut down abortion clinics in Texas. Until we get a majority on the Supreme Court we cannot overturn all abortions but I could not live with myself if in the meantime I did not save every life that I could. So, when you criticize Ted Cruz for fighting to save lives, I think you are biting off your nose to spite your face.
Without “the principle of the matter,” you’re fooling yourself if you think you’re accomplishing anything.
All Planned Parenthood does with your Utilitarian regulation of mass murder is laugh, accept the permission to kill babies that you’ve put into the laws, contrary to the Constitution, and adjust their business plan a little.
And presto, you’ve got mega-killing centers in places like Houston. And they love it, because they now have a much more efficient and profitable vehicle for their murderous greed.
All done, of course, under the color of “law.”
“Pro-life” “law,” put there by “pro-lifers.”
Wake up.
Regulated mass murder is still mass murder.
What fun it would be, when speaking to liberals, to massively over-pronounce their names in exaggerated Spanish.
"Krrrooz - MarrrTEEnez" (trilling the r's)
We need to also fight to outlaw all abortion. But remember that Slavery wasn’t outlawed in either England or America in just one step. First the institution of slavery had to be weakened so that it was later politically possible to eliminate it entirely.
The institution of slavery in both countries continued under the incrementalists, right up until the time that enough uncompromising abolitionists arose to finally bring an end to it.
You don’t weaken something by giving away every weapon you have that can possibly work against it.
It’s a fantasy.

“Cruz is a quitter. “
You don’t know squat.
