Giving up the self-evident truth of America's founding, which is "that all men are CREATED EQUAL, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights," starting with the right to life, and the Constitution's explicit, imperative requirement for equal protection for the right to life of every person, is not a "step in the right direction." That's an illusion. It's the exact opposite.
Absolutely you are right, but your railing is not dealing with the reality of what IS. Not getting behind someone who could possibly lead the charge back to the pure interpretation of our Constitution is just obstinate.
