The Importance of Blasphemy
Frontpagemag.com ^ | January 14, 2015 | Daniel Greenfield

As a deeply religious person, I don’t like blasphemy. My religion and its holy books are sacred to me. And I understand perfectly well why a Muslim would not care for a cartoon of a naked Mohammed.

God will handle his blasphemers in good time. He will not be mocked. I take that admonition seriously.

I could care less what others do or say about my religion, simply because my religion is MINE! It is my bond with Jesus Christ, and nothing that you or anyone else does or says will interfere with MY religion.

I have major problems with the Catholic religion, I have major problems with Islam, but neither of those affect me and my relationship with Jesus Christ.

You burn a bible. So what? It is just a book, until YOU, the person, puts the words within into motion and action.

You dump a crucifix into a jar of pee. So what? Other than the fact that taxpayer monies went to pay for it, I don’t care. It’s not like Serrano put Jesus Christ into the jar.

Jesus Christ is alive and well, in my heart! Nothing anyone else does or says will change that!

Well put.

There was some misleading poll the MSM did about “do people have the right to blaspheme” — this is the liberals attempting to back Muslims by walking away everything they profess to believe.

But the RIGHT to do something doesn’t mean you should.

FAMILY GUY last week featured an autopsy of Jesus Christ where it was suggested he died from cocaine use and anal sex. This is a weeknight kids can tune in TV show.

Was anyone killed? Were there even any protests?

They have the right to do such offensive and disgusting content, yes. Should they? No, but they will pay the consequences from God.

Islam is a religion of works, like all other religions except Christianity. Muslims must do this or that to get to paradise, and, quite frankly, the easiest path to them is to murder and be killed in the name of their false god, Allah (which should never be translated as ‘God’).

There are basic western values — free speech, treatment of women, tolerance of others — that Muslims reject. They are bringing their cancer with them when they migrate to other countries. We’ll see more of this and worse in the years ahead.

France is headed for a Bosnian-type civil war.

Sadly, as a country "we" voted for the party who thrice voted to remove Him and Israel from their party platform.

I'm pretty sure He hasn't forgotten.

TigerClaws: ‘But the RIGHT to [blaspheme] doesn’t mean you should.’

Yes! Right! Exactly!

It is a huge mistake for us to make heroes out of Charlie Hebdo. We live in what we hope and aspire to be a civil society, pluralistic and harmonious.

I am not Charlie Hebdo. I am the Christian father of four who was slaughtered along with his family by Boko Harem in Nigeria.

This fight to the death is not about freedom of the press, or even about freedom of religion. It is about freedom. Period. The Islamo-terrorists want to take this away from us. It really is this simple. I am dumbfounded that the left in its entirety misses what to me is as plain as the nose on my face.

Muslims who question freedom of speech are not calling for a special status for all religions, but only for their religion. They don’t intend to censor their own Hadiths which claim that Jesus will return and break the cross or that the apocalypse will climax with Muslims exterminating the Jews. Their objections aren’t liberal, but exclusively theocratic. They want a blasphemy law that exclusively revolves around them.

I wake up every day thankful I'm not as thin-skinned as Muslims, blacks, and elite liberals...
