A church dominated by homosexuals and child molesters is hardly in a position to advocate for families that consist of a father and a mother. It’s like a bootlegger advocating sobriety.
The total amount of pedophilia + ephebophilia in the Catholic Clergy amounts to less than 2 percent comparable to the rate among married men. This was the research finding of Pennsylvania State University Prof. Philip Jenkins, eminent religion and history scholar, and a non-Catholic whos studied the churchs abuse problems for 20 years.
Jenkins said there has been no formal study comparing denominations for rates of child abuse. However, insurers have been assessing the risks since they began offering riders on liability policies in the 1980s. Two of the largest insurers report no higher risks in covering Catholic churches than Protestant denominations (Jenkins, Pedophiles and Priests).
But are you saying that the Catholic Church should not advocate for children's right to be raised by a father and mother who are married to each other? Surely you can't mean that. Why should the Church support the rights and well-being of children?

The only comprehensive study that I'm aware of is the John Jay Report, which put child sexual abuse by priests at 1-2%, ministers at 2-3%, and public school teachers at 5-10%.
Regardless, is what the Church teaches true? Isn't truth what matters, and not who's speaking it?

could it not be similar to a penitent alcoholic who recognizes his problems and preaches of his new found wisdom and intolerance for alcohol, wishing that others may not suffer the same fate from a similar affliction?
