Probably because the POV they expound has NO VALIDITY to a "common sense" mind.

I’m with PGR88. There are plenty of lefties on Talk Radio. Diane Rehm, Terry Gross, Tom Ashbrook, Guy Raz, Peter Sagal, Brooke Gladstone, etc., etc.

Bill Handel’s weekend law show is interesting. I ignore his pro-gay marriage anti-Christian rants tho.

Leftists can not have intellectual debates. They don’t like to think deeply about their ideas which is why leftwing radio fails.

Obviously, you have not discovered urban talk radio (= black).

To listen is to discover a whole different take on reality, with lots of emotion, plenty of hate (of glacier monkeys), a scarcity of facts (Cleopatra was black, of course), and a general whininess. The callers are much the same.

Everything is seen through the prism of skin; if something bad happens to a black person, almost always it is talked up as a scheme from Whitey to humiliate, degrade, keep down (do you know any white people who might even have TIME for such scheming, much less doing it???)

The rest of the media is entirely leftist. “They” get theirs everywhere and do not need to search out common opinion. OTH Conservative thought is rare indeed. Talk radio is one of the only venues left that has that “product” to offer so to speak.

I’ve not listened to him or Sgt. Schultz but I heard when people call into his show he’d do the same and either hang up on them or come around to their point of view ... what a wuss.

There are a few here in Los Angeles. They are mixed in with conservatives but get talked over by the liberals.

There are lefties on talk radio. There is a spanish station about a half turn from a talk radio station I listen to in Houston (1070). Most of the programming is in espanol.

There was one Spanish conservative commentator on KLAT (1010 kc)—he was syndicated in the DFW area on KFLC (1270 kc)

Not sure what's become of him since he left; I'm quite sure he was ousted by Univision for being too conservative, knowing that within that timeframe (2000-2010) they have all but become the Spanish mouthpiece for the D.N.C. or La Raza (Jorge Ramos, & al.)

As liberal as Dallas is, I’m surprised that there ISN’T an urban talk radio outlet; the only thing that comes close is DISH, featuring the local morning racists from KHKS (106700 kc). And that’s a TV show!
