Many agree.
As one who is theologically nondenominational, but generally affiliated on core moral and spiritual issues with Christianity regarding the nature of good vs evil, it might be seen as devastating!
OTOH,it is also demonstrably true that this particular pope is fraudulently misquoted by various secular media outlets, much more often than any of his predecessors.
One need not be Catholic, or even have any belief in God to see that.
We live in extremely troubling times.
