Oklahoma executed a death row inmate Thursday for killing a baby in 1997 in the states first lethal injection since a botched one last spring.
Prison officials declared Charles Frederick Warner dead at 7:28 p.m. CST Thursday. The execution lasted 18 minutes.
Before I give my final statement, Ill tell you they poked me five times. It hurt. It feels like acid, Warner said before the execution began. He added, Im not a monster. I didnt do everything they said I did. [ ]
It was the second time Oklahoma used the sedative midazolam as part of a three-drug method, which had been challenged by Warner and other death row inmates as presenting an unconstitutional risk of pain and suffering.

Never mind that the Eighth Amendment guarantees no such thing, only that it not be cruel and unusual. Death is a usual punishment for such a crime as Warner’s.

I’ve always wondered why they don’t just give the condemned a big heroin overdose. The libtards would never call that cruel and unusual plus what better way to send the message that illegal drugs are deadly.
That or take an abortion grinder after 'em. The death-obsessed Leftists would view that as almost sacramental.
