Back in 1966-67, I used to listen to free Grateful Dead concerts in Golden Gate park.
Was that the good ole days or what?

US debt beyond the "official" $18 (not 8) trillion is > $46 trillion. It's mathematically impossible to repay.

I think you must have meant Maduro. If Chavez is there, it would be a real trick!

Exactly where the good ole USA is headed......we’re on the same path, albeit at a slower pace........we’re doing many of the same things as Venezuela......

Slumberger of Houston announced they’re laying off 9,000. Haliburton is laying off, too.
A motel in Bryan, Texas said their business if off 50% and dropping.

Why invest in Venezuela now? It is a sure loser.
Better to wait until the country goes completely belly up and pick up the prize pieces for pennies on the dollar. Putin and the Chinese know this and are playing a waiting game.

At least the cab drivers will pay less for gas. In Venezuela, the prices are likely to be going up soon with the reduction/elimination of the gasoline subsidies.

“If the next president has a different idea, can he/she reverse all this Cuba BS, and just go back to the way it was? “
Maybe. But I think Obama’s idea is to have all the progressive horses escape from the barn in a way that will make it too hard to put them back. We haven’t heard the last of this.

Cuba pretty much runs things these days
