A Bad Day for Climate Change Deniers … And the Planet
TIME ^ | January 16, 2015 | by Jeffrey Kluger, Editor at Large

Posted on 01/16/2015 4:26:30 PM PST by Oldeconomybuyer

Three new studies offer new proof of how bad the earth's fever has gotten.

It’s not often that the climate change deniers get clobbered three times in just two days. But that’s what happened with the release of a trio of new studies that ought to serve as solid body blows to the fading but persistent fiction that human-mediated warming is somehow a hoax. Good news for the forces of reason, however, is bad news for the planet—especially the oceans.

“Today’s news is a clear and undeniable warning for all of us that we need to cut climate pollution and prepare for what’s coming,” said Lou Leonard, vice president for climate change at the World Wildlife Fund.

Ultimately, reason will prevail; in the long arc of scientific history it usually does. How much ocean and atmosphere and wildlife we’ll have left when that happens, however, is another matter entirely.

That issue came out at the end of the great drought year in the West when the winter never happened.

We thought it was a comic book.

We barely had any 100 degree days in north central Texas. Contrast that with 2011, when we had something like 60 unbroken days of 100, and the break was because of a little cloud cover followed by more 100 degree days. And we had a similar summer in 1980.

For good measure, Crichton also used the back pages of that book to totally expose Sanger for the eugenicist she was.

They can insist up one side and down the other that the zombie apocalypse is in full swing, and double damn the “zombie deniers”, but the truth is there aren’t any zombies walking around.

“But our computer models say that there are zombies everywhere!”

“We are entering a time of ‘Peak Zombie’!”

“Making necessary adjustments to worldwide zombie predictions results in a “zombie stick”, with most zombies being in uninhabited lands, such as Siberia, where they are difficult to count. They are likely arising from the tundra.”

“Pretty soon, ‘Sea zombification’ will result in most marine mammals having their brains eaten by swimming zombies.”

“Volcanoes my be the reason for a lack of zombie sightings, in that we can only assume that zombies are throwing themselves into active volcanoes.”

Even if there was Globull warming, Who give s flying Fk. Globull Freezing would cause
famine, disease, drought, and Globull Death.

Globull cooling is Death for Millions!
But that's the end DREAM of this fiasco that will never be achieved by stealing Money
from taxpayers. Only the Sun determines the fate, and only at the will of
Christ's Father, "God Almighty".

We need a POTUS to stop this insanity once and for all. Congress won't!

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded. Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientifictechnological elite. - Eisenhower’s Farewell Address

The natural disposition is always to believe. It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity, and they very seldom teach it enough. The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing. - Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments

... to the fading but persistent fiction that human-mediated warming is somehow a hoax.

Just the other day there were articles (and at least one was the basis of a thread here) about how the drop in gas prices will spur Americans to return to larger, lower-MPG (and therefore larger "carbon footprint"), vehicles.

So it doesn't seem to me that what the author describes as belief a "persistent fiction" is fading at all. I don't see any evidence that anyone outside of a self-described "enlightened" few are actually changing their behaviors due to belief in Global Warming.

What IS happening is that people still aren't falling for the hysteria anymore, and are just doing the "Like I could give a s**t, I've got other stuff to worry about" routine on Global Warming.

IOW the mass public apathy towards Global Warming is an excellent indicator that the "deniers" are winning the political argument.

A big volcano that erupted on the island of Java resulted in the year of no summer in the 1800s that caused snow in July.

Liberals can't blame this on either Bush, Republicans or the Tea Party.

They stopped calling it “Global Warming” for a reason, it was clearly not happening, so they started calling it “Climate Change” which is deliberately vague and undefined. I have half a brain and I DENY CLIMATE CHANGE. It is a political ruse. Saying things like “Nobody with half a brain denies climate change” is playing into their hands. You’ve already lost half of the debate (and perhaps half your brain). Never concede or use the enemies language.

No, it's proof that the next thing on Obama's agenda is his big climate change wealth distribution scam. The media is dutifully working with him to get the sheep ready for the legislative battle.

I guess we got to see how marine life is sicker....what is ‘normal’? If a newly discovered species, how can they find what it was before ‘Global BSing’?
