It was stark.

I mean, we know the ending and see it coming and then....nothing.

I am in awe.

Won’t be watching it again though.

Once was all I could bear.

“Won’t be watching it again though. Once was all I could bear.”

Amen.

I have not been able to make myself watch “Private Ryan.” I know that I will be a sobbing mess during all of it, if just only thinking about those guys does that to me. I cry during most war movies.

I know my sweet Darlin is chomping at the bit to see “Sniper” so I’m going to have to suck it up and take lots of hankies.

We have a relative who was with a convoy who was attacked and he held one of his men in his arms while he died. Just thinking of his story shakes me to the core, and I pray daily for him and all our beloved brave young people. We are so blessed to have them, and they deserve ALL of the support we can muster for them.

But like yourself, I imagine that only once seeing “Sniper” will be enough.
