George Zimmerman is a mess, no question about it. But he has also been branded with criminal behavior when it was NOT criminal, and this was probably the starting position.

If you are as likely to be hung for being a wolf as being a sheep, then there is no greater cost for behaving like a wolf.

A lot of FReepers seem to struggle with the whole concept of dumb vs criminal.

That is the crux of the whole matter. If I'm an innocent person just walking back to my home after buying some articles at a convenience store, I have no right to attack someone who I thought was tailing me. I can question them, and that's it. Unfortunately, a number of conservatives are judging the guilt or innocence of Zimmerman in this case by his actions post-incident. The Martin-Zimmerman matter stands alone.

Zimmerman was perfectly in his rights as a neighborhood watch volunteer to try and see what Martin was doing. From all we know, he did everything correctly when told to by the police dispatcher. I guess the simple fact that Zimmerman was armed has some conservatives alarmed. The question is...why?
