Wouldn’t both teams have the “deflated balls”? You dont win 45-7 because you deflated the ball.

Yeah, that’s the big rub. If both teams have them, you have to go to some second-order gripe like “but Brady got to practice with the deflated balls.” Good luck with that.

Don’t both teams use the same balls? If so, wouldn’t a deflated ball have the same advantages/disadvantages for both teams?

Exactly.

If the so-called deflated footballs were easier to throw and catch for the Patriots, wouldn’t they have been easier to throw and catch for the Colts as well?

The Pats would have practiced with deflated balls, the Colts not. Plus the psychological advantage, which is huge.
