RENEE ELLMERS LEADS GOP’S CAVE ON ABORTION ON EVE OF MARCH FOR LIFE

As hundreds of thousands of members of the pro-life community descend upon Washington D.C. for the March for Life Thursday, the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives has caved to Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) and a group of GOP women who believe passage of a bill that would ban abortions past the fifth month of pregnancy would hurt the Party’s chances with women and millennials.

The upending of the bill comes as a member of that GOP leadership team, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA)—the House GOP conference chair—is leading the House delegation to, and addressing the crowds of pro-life marchers at the March for Life on Thursday on the national mall in Washington, D.C.

McMorris Rodgers’ office wouldn’t comment on the decision to cave to what one pro-life member of the House called the “abortion industry,” deferring to others in GOP leadership on that decision, but did profess her own pro-life credentials in an emailed statement to Breitbart News.

It's [way past!] time for the pro-life groups to publicly demand justice with Nuremberg-type trials for such pro-abortion political, judicial, and business leaders to be indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced for crimes against humanity and for treason.

Otherwise, the pro-life position reduces to a level of morality of choosing which color of socks to wear.

Read Jeffrey C. Tuomala's "Nuremberg and the Crime of Abortion."

It's important to pander to the group that doesn't vote so you can alienate the group that does.

I don’t WANT a Federal law.

I want to keep this ON THE STATE LEVEL.

Good job they killed this law.

Put up something to pull the Federal gov back from their overreach on this issue.

Defund Planned Parenthood for example.

If being pregnant as a result of rape is so traumatic as they say, why wait 5 months to end it?

I wonder how this group would feel about addressing laws that made rape legal?

Abortion, unfettered, has less than 50% support by the voting public notwithstanding the fact we do not have a direct democracy. Abortion is biblically and morally wrong, period. It is called killing. Then again we don't seem to care that ISIS and other groups are killing Christians across the world so perhaps the entire world has descended into one big moral hell hole.

Joe Scheidler's Pro Life Action League did that 25 years ago.

The only silver lining in all this (if you can call it that),
is that abortions are almost all committed by liberal woman. They are killing their own (especially the black race). Not a word from Jackson or Sharpton.

There already is a Federal Law which prohibits the killing of human beings—it is the Supreme Law of the Land (The US Constitution) and is being violated by “State Laws”.

We have no Right to kill any babies....it is inhumane and promoting Vice in our “Just Laws” which is an oxymoron.

Laws antithetical to the Constitution are “Null and Void”.

We are NOT a democracy: we are NOT able to destroy certain groups of their UNALIENABLE Natural Rights from God.

Almost, but not quite.

It's important to pander to the group that doesn't, and never will vote for you so you can alienate the group that does...

Liberal Dems won't vote Republican. Why pander to them? You'd think that pols would figure that out, but sadly, they never do....
