Standing in there at a stand-up urinal, I happened to notice a woman crossing over behind me to get to the stool enclosures. So I looked over to the door and discovered there were two doors, side by side, into the restroom.
Outside those doors, they were identified as for males and females.
True story.

I went into a restroom in a bar in Paris once and was standing at the urinal when a woman came in to wash her hands at the sink, which was right next to the urinal. Common stuff over there.
In my college dorm we shared the bathroom, i would shower, pee and poop less than 4 feet from the ladies.
I miss those days.....
