Efforts by several California counties to provide health insurance to undocumented immigrants could serve as a model for other states.
As a state, California has taken several steps to provide health coverage to undocumented residents.
Immigrants in the state who qualified for Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival initiative are eligible for Medi-Cal coverage. Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid program.
In addition, under an executive action by President Obama last year, Medi-Cal coverage could be extended to up to 500,000 undocumented immigrants who have lived in the U.S. for at least five years and who have no record of felony offenses or serious misdemeanors.
Further, a bill (SB 1005) being considered by the state Legislature would allow low-income undocumented immigrants to receive Medi-Cal coverage, while others with higher incomes could buy plans with state-funded subsidies.

Oh wait, isn’t that UnConstitutional as Judge Mariana Pfaelzer said in striking down Proposition 187?
She said a State can’t make a law denying state benefits to illegal aliens because that’s the expressly reserved territory of the Federal Government.
So here we are making a law expressly ALLOWING State benefits to illegal aliens...but Pfaelzer is nowhere to be seen. Along with Gray Davis, Jerry Brown, Antonio Villaraigosa and every other criminal who said the State’s electorate had not right to decide who they had to subsidize.
Guess it only goes one way: you can make a State law GIVING money to foreign nationals in the country illegally, but not one that expressly DOES NOT GIVE them money.
Got it.
But I’m not LOOKING for a model for offering health coverage to people who are here illegally.

Now that they can get California drivers licenses millions of illegals are flooding the DMV offices and walking out the building as registered voters, whether they know it or not. All of the DMV employees are SEIU union members. The California voter registration cards have two address fields. One address field is for where the voter lives. The other voter address field is for where the ballot gets mailed to. The latter address is a SEIU member’s address.

I thought they already had health coverage. Show up at the hospital emergency and never pay for anything.
I think California is being a bunch of racist bigots for not offering free “health coverage” to all foreigners. Why are they only offering it to undocumented lawn boys and motel maids who illegally sneak into America? Don’t the “hardworking” Mexicans, El Salvadorans, Hondurans and Guatemalans who stay at home trying to fix their own country “deserve” free healthcare from California too?
It’s time for DOCUMENTED California taxpayers to put together a class action suit against the state for stealing their money.

Here is a great cost saving idea. Ship illegal aliens back home for medical treatment.
