The solution at this time to keep computers off the Internet, period. A second part of this solution is to vet the personnel allowed access to the information or projects.
We should have built 4 planes.
1. Cheap air-support platform for COIN - something like the Super-Tucano. There should be lots of them, and NCO or warrant office pilots should be the norm.
2. A successor for the A-10 for more intensive battlegrounds - an “A-11.”
3. A stealthy strike aircraft - sort of a stealthy Jaguar.
4. An actual stealthy lightweight fighter to supplement the F-22. Or a UCAV “wingman” for F-22s so that every pilot is actually a flight leader.
nobody has “huge” stockpiles of critical military jet engine parts. they are so hard to make it’s why china hasn’t’been able’to. these are not metal parts off an assembly line going into toasters.
How much of this hacking was enabled-facilitated by Chinese nationals working for various defense contractors and in the US government. No one cares about this or gets these foreigners properly vetted
