She is from NC, barely a purple let alone a blue state. Her stance isn’t a political one to keep her constituents happy. It’s what she feels in her evil heart. 20 weeks to come to a decision regardless of how the impegnation occurred is unreasonable?

My feeling about the rape declaration is that the rape or incest exemption should not exist later than 20 weeks. There are two reasons. One is that any rape should be reported soon enough so the facts are clear and the police can do a meaningful investigation. Another is that it might be a small number, but some women will claim rape or incest when they don't get backing from the baby daddy.

Twenty weeks is already much too long to resolve any of those issues.
