HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Gun maker Remington has moved a lawsuit by families of those shot in the Sandy Hook school massacre from state to federal court, where at least one expert says it has less chance of succeeding.

Nine families sued Remington and others in Bridgeport Superior Court in December arguing the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle used in the shooting should not have been sold for civilian use because of its overwhelming firepower. A 10th family joined the lawsuit adding a wrongful death claim....

Perhaps this lawsuit will finally give proof that SandyHook either happened or didn’t happen.

I’m not convinced this happened and may be a gubmint job like gun running to ban semi autos and guns in general. To much conflicting info before, during and after.

A few years back there was a big fire at a nightclub in Rhode Island.About 100 people died, most of them kids (teens,20's).It was learned by lawyers that there was basically no insurance and the owners had few assets, their club having burned to the ground.

So the lawyers came up with a solution....sue Royal Dutch Shell (yah, the huge oil company) because they were one of the sponsors of the tour of the rock group that was performing that night.

And lawyers wonder why they're as despised as they are.

Sued by parents who would not take the time or spend the money to protect their kids, what a sick country we live in.

Its like Faith. Try to convince the atheist that there is a God. Try to keep me from loving Him it can never happen.

Advertise that you cannot defend yourself and they will come running. And hate the NRA for trying to keep illegal guns off the street.

Now I am pissed off....LOL...I was trying to contribute!

They should sue the government for “allowing” these guns to be sold.

It would appear that you agree with the leftist: guns are bad and shouldn't be sold. Your suggestion is contemptible.

What is contemptible is suing a manufacturer for selling something that is perfectly legal. If they don't like the law they should change the law not sue people who have not broken that law.

BTW, I am totally pro second amendment and live in the most gun friendly state in the union.

These disgusting families just want to profit off their dead children. Remington did nothing illegal. The lawsuit should not even have been allowed - it's legal extortion. What's next? Victims of knife attacks suing knife manufacturers?

In a sane world, this suit would be summarily dismissed and the lawyers and plaintiffs jailed for contempt. Suing people and companies who had nothing to do with the incident in question should not even be countenanced by any court.
