Not to mention the netting is so fine it doesn’t allow
even the smallest fish to escape...goodby food chain.
Maybe they could put a Do NOT REMOVE tag on them that
says “NOT FOR FISHING”. /s
Those pesky humans! You just never know what’ll happen when you hand ‘em a tool!
nets are the answer to the question
should we eat or should we be eaten?
So ironic that DDT, the surest way to kill mosquitos and prevent malaria, was banned because Rachel Carson wrote about its effect on the environment, particularly birds’ eggs.
Millions of people then died of malaria, so the enviro-nazis then had to launch the netting campaign. And severe environmental damage is occurring in the waterways, where the netting is being used for indiscriminate net fishing...while the people are still dying of maleria. Is there anything that these wackos haven’t screwed up?
but of course .....
We all should be laughing because another of the worldwide left’s solutions is blowing up in their faces. They banned the use of DDT so they supplied these countries with mosquito netting. These are poor countries so they make do with what they have and the nets are convenient for them to use to catch fish, and the environmental left is worried about overfishing. Now they want to take the nets away and we end up with people in Mozambique and other African nations getting malaria because they won’t have nets or the use of DDT, and they’ll starve because they won’t have the nets to catch fish. Real compassion there you stupid lefties.
The DDT ban is absolutely and purely racist. It is a concomitant of abortion and welfare as the real war against dark skinned races.
You may get it or you may not. You may die from it or you might survive.
But no food kills you every single time.
So they are taking a calculated risk of some dying against all dying.
You expect too much from the paving crew.
We had a great plan when the kids were little. We had a wading pool for the kids and to keep the mosquitos from breeding there we threw in a few gold fish. The fish ate the larvae, the kids didn’t care and we only had to clean it out once a week.
Or just put seam sections in that either fall apart under UV or rot quickly in water.

Yeah...like Stalin diverting rivers to the Aral sea to grow cotton....
and open cast mining in China for rare earth minerals (used in Prius motors and wind generators) causing extensive toxic waste areas.
beat me to it
How many have posted before me comments about the toll of banning effective pesticides? FILE THIS ARTICLE IN THE SILENT SPRING FILE.
They do the same thing in Jamaica. Everyday they go out and net a bunch of bait which they boil up into a fish tea. Its gross but what else are they going to do? I have watched them bring in the catch. Sad. Plus there isn’t a fish within a mile from shore that weighs more than a pound due to this relentless scavenging.
Agree that someone is getting rich. Those nets will not last very long so they’ll have to be constantly replaced. But hey, it’s all FREE!
Since the people are getting malaria from not using the nets at night then it is obvious those mosquitos never bit in the daylight. Wish the ones here could understand day vs. night.
Heh. This was reported years ago on the BBC.
And I wonder when the NYTimes will report that many of the donated lubricated condoms in India are used by those who hand weave silk?
Thanks - that becomes one more thing that doesn't ring true about this story... nets are too flimsy...
