Sure is a lot of jumping to conclusions here.

I have seen nothing yet to indicate foul play other than the suspicion no Mustang existed and the possibilities of what may have happened.

It is also quite possible they just drove themselves into the lake by accident after a 3 hour drive into unfamiliar territory.

You need to wait for more info.

Absolutely....it could be a failed abduction by space aliens that “went wrong”.

Their bodies weren’t found in their vehicle but nearby. Maybe they jumped out right before it went into the pond and their vehicle ran over them.

Really???

This guy murdered them is my bet.

Well, they did say that Vince Foster committed suicide. Perhaps they committed suicide. Personally, I think they got hit by a runaway meteor.

The original article, at least as of my writing this post, does say this:

Earlier in the day, FOX 5 learned that that the suspect in the disappearance of a Cobb County couple had turned himself in to authorities.

--SNIP--

Earlier, Telfair Sheriff's investigators obtained warrants for Towns, wanted in the case of missing Bud and June Runion of Cobb County.

Towns will be charged for giving false statements and criminal attempt to commit theft by deception, but additional charges will be pending following the outcome of an autopsy of the two bodies that were found.

They weren't found in the car, they were found nearby. The car was submerged in a lake/pond.

So, the only scenario that fits the perp not doing it, is that they accidentally drove into the lake, and they died after succumbing to exposure even if they were able to exit the vehicle.

The simple fact is, the perp didn't have a Mustang to sell them, so he was, at the least, going to rob them. It's not much of a stretch to figure he killed them too, and unless there are marks on the bodies consistent with crashing into a lake, and not consistent with being murdered, the likelihood is he killed them.
