The latter also get their Italian from chefs named “Todd” and wouldn’t be caught dead reading the NY Post in anything other than an ironic manner? Have you spent any time with the Chelsea, let alone Williamsburg/Bushwick/LES hipster set?
Well, I have an apartment at 25th and 2nd so I’m often in Chelsea because it has good shopping - at least when disgruntled employees are not shooting it out at Home Depot. I only go into Williamsburg to eat at a red sauce restaurant there - I’m still looking for the hipsters in that neighborhood since it always looks like a 19th century factory town gone wrong to me. The under 40s I know are generally too poor or middle class to be eating much at Eataly or hanging with the judges on Chopped.
