I believe a number of Texans had rifles in their vehicles when the Dallas tower sniper opened fire and were able to suppress him. What two not gun free zones is John Lott referring too? Ft. Hood, like every federali government facility, is a gun free kill zone. Seriously considering upping my ccw from GLOCK 26 and total of 31 rds to GLOCK 19 and 46 rds. Or at least 26 and a couple of 19 magazines. All with Hornady critical defense.

Well, it wasn’t Dallas, it was Austin (U. of Texas).

But you are right, quite a few citizens grabbed their hunting rifles, etc. to try to eliminate that shooter (whose name was Charles Whitman).

Aiming and scoring hits on the intended target is more effective than spraying a dozen rounds at random and hoping for the best.
