Not true. Even at highway speeds, electricity costs the equivalent of around $1 per gallon.

Not true and not honest.
The cost/gal is about $1.50 equiv.
More important though is that the extra cost of the electric car is NEVER paid for in at-speed driving!

While with enough stop-and-go driving the extra cost CAN be paid for in the lifetime of the vehicle for hybrids.
Though not for 100 grand toys- but hundred grand toys purchasers wouldn’t care anyway!
