Who is going to drive for seven hours and not stop for a bite to eat? Tesla has Superchargers dotting the interstate (click the link and scroll down) that charge the car to 80% in 40 minutes. With one such stop you could drive over 500 miles in a day.
Furthermore, the supercharger stations are being upgraded from 120 kW to 135 kW so that people can get more juice in a shorter period of time.
