American Sniper is tops at the box office but don’t expect to see former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura lining up at a theater for it.
Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, won $1.8 million in a defamation lawsuit last year against the estate of the late Chris Kyle, the SEAL protagonist of the movie, which has sparked debate over whether snipers should be considered heroes. Ventura said Wednesday he won’t see the film partly because Kyle is no hero to him.
"A hero must be honorable, must have honor. And you can’t have honor if you’re a liar. There is no honor in lying," Ventura told The Associated Press from his winter home in Baja California, Mexico. He also noted that the movie isn’t playing there.

There are those who condemn snipers as “cowards” because they shoot from a long range, staying out of sight of those they aim to kill.
I’d like to ask those naysayers a couple of questions, if I may be so bold..
Do you name as “cowards” those who dropped bombs on “innocent” German civilians from 32,000 feet above them?
Do you name as “cowards” those who skulked 300 feet BELOW the Pacific, rising to torpedo “innocent” Japanese sailors?
Do you condemn as “cowards” those who stood at their 155mm cannon and fired at the target 2 miles away?
Do you condemn as “cowards” the Gunner’s Mates, in the turrets of their 16”/50’s firing at targets up to 15 miles over the horizon?
Do you condemn as “cowards” those American pilots who flew their Hellcats and DiveBombers at 350 MPH to drop their bombs on the YAMATO, the single largest battleship EVER built and then flew away?
Do you always condemn as “cowards” those who went into harm’s way, securing for YOU, your safe existence?
So DID Chris Kyle kick Ventura’s butt in a bar room brawl or not (since it was published in Chris Kyle’s book and Ventura says it never happened and was the basis for the lawsuit / libel)?
It’s not like Kyle was around to give sufficient details to “prove” it happened. As far as the lawsuit goes ...with Ventura being governor and Kyle being deceased to refute the libel charges the case would be a slam dunk anyway. Ventura should’ve let the case go upon his death. People are smart enough to form their own opinions if Ventura would refute the claims and give a plausible explanation as to why but he didn’t and went ahead with the claim to collect the judgment which is telling in itself IMO.

Ventura claims Chris Kyle is no hero. Well, Ventura is no American. He so hates America that he moved out of the country to live in Mexico, for crying out loud.

I think I’m starting to understand it all now..because the movie “Selma” was not nominated for a Oscar and people are still filling theaters to see “American Sniper”,Chris Kyle and all snipers are cowards. Got it!
Wrong Paul is a far bigger asshole than even this.
In the wake of the 90-91 war he went on various talk shows to assert that the use of armored bulldozers to suppress trenches in positions amounted to war crimes. He armored so said this in the newsletter he published at the time.

Only going through BUD/s...UDT had a non Eagle crested trident. When Jessie was in UDT there were only 2 Seal Teams. Teams 1 & 2..of which he was in neither.

Yes, they did, and, No!, he was not. He was UDT, and UDT and SEAL existed at the same time. While SEALs were dying in Vietnam he chose to stay UDT in the Philippines, nice and safe and chasing hookers. If he had volunteered to become a SEAL he would have been in Vietnam post haste, but he chickened out and played it safe.
Jesse The Pussy Ventura was never a SEAL. Not for a day.
