OK. I have read all the responses and I am going to go out on a limb and in the process, irritate a few folks.

Some of you posters need to grow up a bit. You need to have a bit of patience for the new congress folks. Although I was not in favor of selecting Boehner again as Speaker, it is way TOOOOOOOOO early to be denouncing our GOP congress critters based on one vote. In fact it is a bit of idiocy.

Are some of you suffering from St. Vitus Dance? Cannot you settle down a bit before you decide that you are never, Never, NEVER going to vote for s0-and-so again?

There, I have had my say. Let our GOP controlled Congress have some time to pass some bills, and if, in the end, they disappoint you, then it will be OK to criticize them.

Remember, Ronald Reagan, in order to get the most important bills passed, allowed a few he did not like past him too. He figured certain bills were essential and others were desired, and other were favored. He set priorities.

Oh, and one more thing. When RR was Governor of California he signed a pro-choice bill. Yet, you all have forgiven him for this - he later said it was a mistake. Give these newcomers a bot of space and time. PLEASE.

The GOPe needs to be taken to task for their lame-duck session behaviors.

You didn’t irritate me. Quite the opposite, yours is about the only one on this thread that didn’t.

I agree. These people are band new to the town; have had maybe 1.5 months to arrange housing, find and try and vet staff, figure out where their office is, deal with all the presstitues, party heads, getting pulled in a hundered different directions, and then, after being sworn in, are confronted with this vote for speaker whom they probably only just met, and don’t know all the other players, etc., etc.

As for Mia joining the CBC. How many conservatives are members? Someone has to wade into that den of vipers and sing a different tune.

So, let’s let them get settled and see how things go. They’re there for two years. After that, then they have to answer for their actions.

Yeah, a few bad votes are to be expected from anyone.
There’s a limit though.

Barry Loudermilk ran all over North Georgia saying he was going to vote against Boehner before he got elected. Then he wants us to fall for the old “I actually voted against Boehner before I voted for him”. I want the lieing POS recalled!!!

I agree with you 100%.

I often wonder what happens with 1 Tea Partiers disagree with each other. So they burst into flames and get swept away in a whirlwind?
