The F-16 jet "lost power" as it took off from the base near the southeastern city of Albacete and crashed into an area where other planes were parked, damaging at least five other aircraft, the defence ministry said in a statement.
At least 19 other people were injured in the accident...
The Spanish ministry said the jet that crashed was taking part in a NATO training exercise called the Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) which seeks to improve multi-national cooperation in air operations.

Shit happens. I remember a loud POP once when an F-4 lost an engine on takeoff. But it had a spare.
Wow! Prayers for all involved.
Doesn’t say what base...I’m curious as to how close the ramp is to the runway.
Prayer for all in the wake.
Is the pilot’s name ‘Mohammed’ or ‘Achmed’?
Prayers. Hate hearing crap like this. :(
What country did the crashed plane and damaged planes and the dead belong to?
Nobody is a UN or NATO citizen

What a cluster fk ....this is sotoeros un/nato. What American base has any aircraft or personal in the take off path of an aircraft?...none.......I love our military being a veteran but I loathe the muzzie blue gum now running it like a true muzzie brother....what a travesty being done within unconstitutional manner with no reaction from any branch of of our republic. I say this with the fact that this civilian airport being used for military launches when it is not geared for it....shows how knowledgeable the current replacement (muzzie) officers are when it comes to basic aircraft safety protocol comes into real application....this was avoidable.
