I’m having trouble with why/how the doomed F16 made its way all the way over to the parking ramp during takeoff.
Under “normal” circumstances, one would think that heading the aircraft to the apparently open side at the bottom of the picture, or straight ahead would have been the correct choice.
Tough choice, we’ll probably never know since both aircrew were killed...they just may have had some pretty catastrophic failure that prevented it.
The “loss of thrust” is the initial cause, a symptom or result of some other failure...it’ll be interesting to see the root cause of the “loss of thrust”.
Mohammeds, Ahmeds, Abdullahs and Feisals should never fly NATO or USAF planes.
Not at all unusual. In fact, it's pretty common.
Thanks. With jet engines and firearms, two is one and one is none. Single engine aircraft need a lot of room when it fails.
