Wasn’t it John F. Kennedy who said that Winston Churchill was the man who “led his country in war, armed with NOTHING but the English language”?
I seem to recall that it was JFK. However, whether I’m right or wrong, that description of Churchill was absolutely wonderfully accurate.
When Winston started a famous speech, “We shall fight them on the beaches...”, those words were, in truth, virtually all England had.

I have no idea. The only two quotes by John F. Kennedy that I remember are: “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country”, and “ich bin ein Berliner” meaning he is a citizen of Berlin (not a donut, just to clarify
