(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said Thursday that contrary to what attorney general nominee Loretta Lynch said in her confirmation hearing on Wednesday that illegal aliens do not have a right to work in the United States and that by printing work authorizations for them the Obama administration is effectively counterfeiting immigration papers.
CNSNews asked asked Cruz: Do you believe illegal aliens should have a right to work in the United States as Loretta Lynch told Senator Sessions?
Cruz responded: Federal law is unequivocal. Those who are present in this country illegally are barred from working. The Obama administration is printing up work authorizations directly contrary to federal law. In effect, they are counterfeiting immigration papers, because the plain text of federal law makes it illegal for those who have entered this country illegally to obtain employment.
CNSNews asked: So you would say no?
Cruz: No.
When asked by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) on Wednesday who had the greater right to work in the country--illegal immigrants or legal permanent residents and citizens--Loretta Lynch said: Senator, I believe the right and the obligation to work is one that is shared by everyone in this country, regardless of how they came here.
This AG just stated that illegals have a “right” to work in this country. That denies federal law, national sovereignty, and our existence as a separate nation.
Yup. He might as well be printing greenbacks.
Where he gets the authority to do all of this, no one knows.
Maybe in Kenya that’s how its done. Or Mexico!
“Documents for the Un-Documented”
They make it up as they do and call it legal because they’re the ones who decided it.
They make it up as they GO and call it legal because theyre the ones who decided it.
Good to be King!
Loretta Lynch, a wolf in black sheep’s clothing.
This is all part of the "GLOBALIST AGENDA", the United Nations policy , and AGENDA 21 control .
Add to this the Soros agenda of eliminating the United States Passport for a "North American Passport"(all inclusive Mexico/ Canada/United States).
Take away borders, soverignty ,language ,currency , and culture ... and what do you have ?
Nada ! - You no longer have national , or personal identity.
Futhermore, you lose the legal Constitutional rights guaranteed by this nation, and you become just another number, and a mindless prole controlled by others.
Of course this won’t stop her from being confirmed.
When you have Legal Executives determining which laws they will enforce ,
while not enforcing laws that already exist
then ...there already is no law.
Law is systematic predictive order, ..and eliminates chaos and anarchy
We already have devisiveness, chaos, and anarchy - that's the Communist way !
Indeed, it can be argued that action effectively neuters the Congress on a significant issue and establishes a precedence for use in other issues. Such is a clear violation of the notion that an essential separation of powers is built into our government .
Re the Keystone pipeline which has passed both chambers and is headed for a pre-announced presidential veto, one of our esteemed GOP'ers stated:
"Just because the president will not do his duty doesn't mean we shouldn't do ours." (perhaps paraphrased.)
Well said, senator. And, by the way, your duty is to impeach a president that ignores the law and by doing so clearly moves in an illegal direction. It doesn't matter that the senate MAY not convict, that is not an excuse for not performing your duty.
You may ask, senator, what is to be gained if we lose?
Ans: A) Confirmation of the principle we are a nation of laws, and B) disclosure of the identity of politicians that would allow a lawbreaker to remain in office.
Orin Hatch has openly endorsed her as Extremely qualified to be AG.
We’ve all fallen down the rabbit hole...
She went much further than that. She basically said that they have an "obligation" to work; a "duty" to violate the law.
Can Orrin Hatch pass a 51-50 exam? I do not think so.
“Weve all fallen down the rabbit hole...”
Well, some would argue that is the case, while others disagree, believing that they stopped just short of it and watched the liberals go in.
I, on the other hand, treat it like the singularity of a black hole. To observers, it appears we stopped just short. However, we have been sucked in for a very long time. It was too late a while ago.
Those ordered to participate have every legal right to refuse to do so and can sue under whistleblower laws. This could force the DHS to place immigration under the control of a consent decree and a court appointed guardian to prevent this kind of lawlessness from going forward.
We need to think outside the box here: getting the courts to dismantle the Executive agency by agency to restrict Obama's abuse of authority might be one way to go.
Sessions and Cruz need to point this out as loudly as possible.
Yep, you’re right. I was reading ‘responsibility’ as when we say to our kids that they have a responsibility to take care of their own.
She probably wasn’t using it that way, was she?
Orrin Hatch is one of the most infamous RINO’s ever to grace or rather disgrace the US Senate.
Our children do have an obligation to learn to care for themselves by getting entry level jobs while in school, but all those jobs are taken by illegal aliens who have taken those jobs as career choices.
Additionally we have restrictive child labor laws that prohibit high school students from taking those jobs. I worked all through high school and college. That it’s a rare occurrence these days.
TRUE. But who will actually DO ANYTHING about it, other than pontificate and dance around the issue?
