As the Department of Defense considers the question, former Navy SEAL Ray Cash Care says he has an answer: Hell no.
A few weeks ago, it was reported in Navy Times that the Department of Defense will make a decision on opening the SEAL and SWCC ranks to women in January of 2016. If the DoD decides in favor of allowing women, the Navy would then notify Congress by July 1, and Congress would then have 30 working days to respond with any concerns. I'd like to jump ahead of Congress, save them some trouble and tell them right here, right now that this is a terrible idea. Concerns? I have many. Now before anyone gets too bent out of shape, understand that this doesn't come from a "women should stay home and be housewives" mentality. From Navy divers to Explosive Ordinance Disposal up to fighter pilots, women's role in the military is crucial to the success and duration of America. I have nothing but admiration for the contributions women make to the defense of our great nation. But I do not think the SEAL teams should allow women. BUD/S, which stands for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training, is the most physically and psychologically grueling schooling a man can go through. My class began with over 120 men. Of that, 16 originals graduated, with some additional guys who were in from other classes who were delayed due to injuries. There's an 80% attrition rate at BUD/S, and that is rounding down.

Some would say that was rather misogynistic but, that would be wrong and being wrong is for women...
That's were I would disagree, my wife has had to be a warrior to keep me in line for over 42 years. She has fought valiantly and has won more battles than she has lost, by far. LOL
Women have not been able to make it through Marine Corps Infantry Officer Course training...and, nothing against Marine IOC graduates (my son-in-law is one), but Navy Seal training is at least as tough...so...
No.
LOL. We fight with words and credit cards.
Should women be Navy Seals? They should if it sells calendars.
Women can be very deadly. They can also be extremely brave.
Testosterone does not make you brave, it makes you powerful and aggressive.
On the other hand, women operate by guile and skill rather than strength and power.
No woman on earth can pass the elite military training. I have watched some of it on shows like “The History Channel”. Not only can women not pass, the vast majority of men cannot.
The majority of men know they can’t and don’t try. Even among the ones who try, few succeed.
And tears. You forgot the “tears” strategy (or the very threat) ... works every time. Greatest weapon a warrior women ever had in her arsenal. LOL! ;-)
LOL!
More øbola crap.
nope. next question.
no woman exists that fit this fantasy. there is no woman with superior strength to a male seal counterpart.
Why not? They’ve already laid waste to the military as it is.
what’s’the point? to make women feel good or to have combat-ready seals?
if it’s just to stoke someone’s ego forget it. this isn’t pc feminist camp, it’s the armed forces elite teams that expect to be inserted into situations.
I like this quote..
“Any nation that sends it’s women to fight it’s wars is not worth defending.”~ Pat Buchanan
SEAL is always in caps.
and just to be clear, i am not saying women can’t have training and be dangerous fighters to other men and women. i never underestimate anyone. but as the best of most men can’t make it through, there’s no woman who can. at least not alive right now.
NO!
What a concept.... SCREW the enemy to death.. or Suck the life right out of him.. or HER...
Unless you get shot while undressing.. or screwed then shot..
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-—and I’m a woman.
.
Thank you. And you would shocked and saddened to see how few men are too. I’ve seen a lot of combat and it’s hard to get young men to bear up under the terrors and stresses of killing and seeing men killed. Even the few really strong guys we get as volunteers have a tough time.
Which doesn’t say much for the rest of American manhood who let other young men take all the risks while they find infinite numbers of excuses to avoid combat.
