Joe Biden: A Plan for Central America
New York Times ^ | JAN. 29, 2015 | JOSEPH R. BIDEN Jr.

Posted on 01/31/2015 11:31:18 AM PST by MeshugeMikey

AS we were reminded last summer when thousands of unaccompanied children showed up on our southwestern border, the security and prosperity of Central America are inextricably linked with our own.

The economies of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras remain bogged down as the rest of the Americas surge forward. Inadequate education, institutional corruption, rampant crime and a lack of investment are holding these countries back. Six million young Central Americans are to enter the labor force in the next decade. If opportunity isn’t there for them, the entire Western Hemisphere will feel the consequences.

“Six million young Central Americans are to enter the labor force in the next decade. If opportunity isn’t there for them, the entire Western Hemisphere will feel the consequences.”

This same logic was used by GWB when he met with President Fox and agreed to leave the border open; it would be too destablilizing to Mexico if they had so many unemployed young men...

Funny how their “plans” always involve taking my money under threat of violence and handing it to someone else, all while taking a little off the top for themselves.

Got it.

The chronic problems of Spanish Corruptocracies are really our problems.

Meanwhile Planned Murderhood shrieks for more Abortions of the Americans.

Perhaps the issue in the land of Beeg Men is they have more children then they cansupport? And it’s their problem, not ours?

Inadequate education, institutional corruption, rampant crime and a lack of investment are holding these countries back.

Maybe inadequate education, institutional corruption, and rampant crime CAUSE the "lack of investment." I mean, who wants to sink money into a third-world dump that can seize your assets anytime the government changes hands, which is usually weekly?

“The economies of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras remain bogged down as the rest of the Americas surge forward.”

Maybe they should look to Venezuela and Cuba for inspiration. /S

They just “showed up?”

BULLCRAP. Just “showed up” is when a cat starts sitting at the back porch and meows for food.

These “children” were actively imported be the federal government, the corrupt governments south of the border, and democrats who need an ever growing army of uneducated poor voters.

On the plus side of the invasion, El Salvadoran food is very tasty and nutritional.

I could see helping Central American countries help themselves by providing unemployed teachers a job to help in Central American schools instead of an unemployment check when they're unemployed. Too many teachers play layoffs for that unemployment check.

Right, so send all the poverty here. Then those countries will be rich and secure-is that how this is supposed to work?

Biden of all people should know, he went down there and practically recruited them, from what I’ve read.
