Is pot the new gay marriage for the GOP?
Politico ^ | January 31, 2015 | Jonathan Topaz

Marijuana is shaping up to be the new gay marriage of GOP politics — most Republicans would rather not talk about it, except to punt to the states. But when it comes to the 2016 presidential race, a series of legalization ballot initiatives — and a certain outspoken Kentucky senator — could make it harder for the Republican field to avoid the conversation.

Inutero Murder is legal in this country. Neglect of infants born from botched abortions, also legal. Thanks to Barack Obama and his ilk.

Marijuana control is to the GOP what gun control is to the dimocrats; a losing proposition. The ground is shifting under our feet and fewer and fewer people support the idea of spending tax dollars to stop a weed.

Agreed. Demographics all but guarantee that that will be increasingly true. Opposition to legalization is concentrated in the oldest age groups. These are the exit poll results for the FL medical MJ vote, which got 58%, 2 short of the 60% needed to pass =>

___________________________________________________________________

Age => Yes / No

18-24 => 83% / 17%

25-29 => 75% / 25%

30-39 => 68% / 32%

40-49 => 63% / 37%

50-64 => 58% / 42%

65 + => 38% / 62%

Druggies get to vote also...

It's my experience that they don't.

I’ve had to settle for Huckabee. There just isn’t anybody else. I know he has problems.

The “new” queer marriage in the U.S. is that if you want to win elections, you have to keep your base high and/or stupid and promise them lots of government freebies and handouts. Promising them a job and an opportunity to better their lives just doesn’t cut it in America anymore. The voters aren’t interested in that old hokey sh*t.

Just look at the last Oregon election. Liberals put legalized pot on the ballot and liberals swept the state, even in some conservative districts. All the pot heads, who normally stayed out to vote, came out to vote.

Smoking pot reduces the sex drive. Liberals love pot.

Shrink the liberal base - legalize pot!

Some druggies are very passionate about voting, and that is why the left loves to get drug promotion onto ballots, to increase the left’s turnout.

Even voters that don’t care about voting, are always available when the left wants to turn them out.

If legal pot is such a swell idea, why has the governor of CO come out and said that it was a mistake in his state. Do we really want to see so many young people drugging themselves into a stupor? Weed is not harmless.

If legal pot is such a swell idea, why has the governor of CO come out and said that it was a mistake in his state.

His beef is that it's tough to be the first to tackle the regulatory details, and to do so without federal guidance; he also said “we're making real progress” on working out those details, and “The studies we've seen of the people in Colorado [show] the people who were smoking before it was legal are still doing it, and people that weren't smoking it still aren't.” http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3249878/posts?page=74#74

Do we really want to see so many young people drugging themselves into a stupor?

Since well before any state had legalized pot, teens have reported that they could get it more easily than beer or cigarettes ... which is to be expected since legal sellers card and illegal sellers don't.

Weed is not harmless.

Neither are alcohol, tobacco, triple scoop sundaes, or rock climbing.

You need to bottom line America's problem and stop hoping for a libertarian president.

Do you know the bottom line on libertarians? It's this:

Ayn Rand said:
I am done with the monster of “we,” the word of serfdom, of plunder, of misery, falsehood and shame. And now I see the face of god, and I raise this god over the earth, this god whom men have sought since men came into being, this god who will grant them joy and peace and pride. This god, this one word: “I.”

Lucifer said:

Isaiah 14:14
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Considering America's current urgent problems, Gov. Mike Huckabee is the only possible choice for President.

Ayn Rand

was an Objectivist who had no use for libertarians. Libertarianism is a philosophy of government and nothing more; it's entirely compatible with belief in God.

Whatever you want to put your faith in doesn’t change the facts.

American culture and government were founded on Christian beliefs.

You remove those, and you no longer have America. We either elect a Christian President or give over to Islam and Anarchy.
