Obama’s dreamer measles.
Alex Berezow Steroidal Nanny State PING!
Wow is it just me but ever since the Usuper took over the White Hut. Diseases are now running rampant. Perhaps instead of calling that thing President Obola how about calling him President Pestilence?
Most of my SoCal friends believe it is the illegals who brought the measles back into this country. But that’s way too un-PC to hear from Big Media.
I wonder how many U.S. children will die in the next two years from diseases that had been eradicated in the U.S. before Obama’s illegal alien surge?
Mostly it’s the loony left that moons about vaccinations but it just goes to show that the graph of political ideologies is a circle and not a straight line.
“”Your right to be sick ends where my right to be healthy begins,”
Please note, according to zero and his minions, this does not apply to going to bath houses and spreading AIDS via homosexual contact. That’s protected.
Note the problem according to the media is not the Dreamers.
It’s people exercising their freedom and their parental rights.
The blame is on the anti-Vaxxers.
The measles does have its downsides as well. Some dead kids... some miscarried babies.
Let’s not pretend the measles is an entirely harmless disease. The vaccine is still better. You shouldn’t be forces to get it but if you don’t then you shouldn’t be allowed in school.
And yea, the vaccine is only about 95% effective. Same as condoms yet we don’t tell people to forgo them as if the risk is equal otherwise.
If anti-vaccine are to blame then you’d think they’d be the only ones getting it which isn’t the case.
“Of the 34 people for whom the California Department of Public Health had vaccination records, only five had received both doses of the measles vaccine, according to the department. One received just the first dose. Nationally, officials are seeing the same trend, Schuchat said last week.”
5 people out of 34 got both doses of the vaccine and still got it.
One of the reasons I didn’t have children...too many power-mad control freaks running loose...
My earliest memory is my being three years old and having measles and my mother giving me an alcohol sponge bath to lower my 106 degree fever. I can still smell the alcohol fumes. I never had to do that for my kids. I wonder why?
I think it is foolish not to vaccinate, espescially given our governments penchant for welcoming diseased third worlders into the country.
That said I see USA Today is quick to criticize those who don't trust vaccination but has no such condemnation for the hoards of illegal immigrants streaming over our borders bringing measles, TB, and a host of other diseases we thought we got rid of.
So, if measles can’t spread in a vaccinated society, then it follows that those who are worried about measles will obtain the shots. Those who don’t want them are only risking themselves, and other like-minded folks, so what’s the problem? It’s their bodies, it should be their choice - there, I said it, I’m “pro-choice”.
I’m really glad I don’t have kids because this has made the vaccine pimps embrace their inner nazi out of irrational panic.
I am in favor of parents getting their kids vaccinated for a number of childhood diseases.
I am in favor schools or businesses requiring proof of, or parental statements attesting to, a child getting their vaccinations in order for the child to be allowed to enter the premises.
I am not in favor of the government forcibly or under penalty of law forcing anyone to get a vaccination.
Parents who are concerned about this can keep THEIR children from playing with children whose parents will not attest to their kids receiving their vaccinations. If a child’s school does not know the vaccination status of their students and require it for entry, the parent should put the kid in a school that does insist on vaccinations. Disney should require a signed statement on vaccinations for every child an adult wants to take into Disneyland. All those things are individual rights people can exercise without demanding forced vaccinations by government.
