Here is something about the Chinese I find interesting:
Often, they have a genuine career before they end up engaging in the political scene. I’ve said before that the Chinese bureaucrats and diplomats are former businessmen, but mainly scientists and engineers and other technical occupations that require critical thinking and more than being personable. A lot of Eastern politicos are often quiet, restrained, and seemingly timid, but their credentials and backgrounds are way beyond even that of a President of the United States.
Our idiots in office treat politicking and appearances like a career, when it should only be a side line, not the supposed substance or center of the campaign. In the beginning, our Presidents spoke French as par the course and I have no idea why we became so vociferously anti-culturally educated. Being personable is salesmanship, which has regrettably been what our country is run on.
I really do think we need to break the cycle of endless lawyers.
As for a degree, it depends on the degree.
